April 18, 2007:
Well it's official, No More 630's for me. When I first started the 630, it was unique, no one did it and it captured the crowd. Well it still captures the crowd but I don't believe it still has that same kick. Now a days, you can catch it at almost any indy show with spotty green boys. No offense to them, they are trying to get over with the crowd. I was there, I understand how it feels to try to connect with the crowd. You'll go out there and do whatever you think it takes to get them into you. You guys can have it though. I have found more important things than trying to get the crowd into my match....... WALKING.

The majority of last year saw me balloon in weight because of work. No excuse, I have to make money for my family as that is more important than wrestling, hands down. I gladly worked 16-17 hours a day to make sure that I got into my field of study so I can achieve my goal of owning my own graphic design business. 5 months of only seeing my son on weekends I didn't wrestle paid off as I now am a production manage for an advertising firm (Kim Parrish Creative Services, cheap plug). With all the weight I gained, I didn't think about toning stuff down as I became wreckless. I wasn't able to move as I normally did, I was sloppy in the ring, and I just overall looked like a fat blob with a backflip. I was 216lbs. That's not cool because I'm only 5'5". I lost alot of bookings because of my weight issue, not just from great feds, but shit shows were dropping me because I honestly was not what I used to be.

I don't blame anyone but myself for my problems. When I finally was able to quit working a second job, I got my ass back in the gym and I am glad to say that I am now at 184lbs. Still not where I want to be but dammit I feel great. I may not look like I did when I was with TNA, but you will notice that I move just as, if not better than I did when I was under contract and to me, that is what matters most.

Back to the 630. When I said I enjoy walking, that's exactly what I meant. With my weight as high as it was, I was still doing the 630 and it just aggravated my back more and more. It was to the point where I was getting up in the morning and had to stretch for exteneded periods of time to feel right. Not something I want to go through as I get older. I know with the abuse I put on my body now, that down the line I may have to do the exercises to get going, I just don't want to accelerate that process. So as of right now, the 630 has been removed from my arsenal. Of course, I will keep the name of the site as Mr. 630, hell as I said before, I was the first to do it. Superfly Snuka is still called that but he doesn't fly off the top rope very often now does he?

Now on to the Florida J Cup. There was a tournament held by a company named MXPW to crown the top Florida Jr in the state. Normally there wouldn't be an issue, however, several Florida indy fans were hounding the talent in the tourney because one person wasn't there. That person was booked elsewhere that night. These fans pretty much buried the fresh and upcoming talent. Who's to say that this talent may not be main eventing the big show one day? Every wrestler in this business started somewhere until someone gave them a break. Hell, me and the missing talent in question were in the same boat as the new talent a few years ago when everyone was superhigh on Florida talent such as Roderick Strong, Sederick Strong, Naphtali/ Al Bino, Justice, Livewire, OG Scarface, Jet Jaguar, Scoot Andrews and so forth.

I'm just saying give these guys a chance before you break out the shovel. The thing that really bothered me about it was that the fans crapped on the wrestlers but have only seen them a few times. They won't watch someone grow into what they may become. They will pass a quick judgement and only look for their favorite. I'm just saying that they missed out because this fresh talent went out to the J Cup and had great nights. They didn't put on 4 or 5 star matches but what they did was excellent and earned respect in my book. I'll be happy to work with each and everyone of them in the future as they showed a lot of heart out there. That's it for that subject, if you weren't there to see it, don't shit on it.

Well have to actually get back to work. Take care and support your local indy.
